Marc Schmitz

HE/HIM

Respite Provider

Marc's curiosity for how people engage with one another as well as how society is formed and regulated brought him to realize his passion for improving the lives of others. Seeing the many trials and tribulations many are faced with drove him to pursue a degree in Sociology and Psychology as to better help and understand those around him. Putting this knowledge into practice through providing respite has shown the wonders of spreading joy, overcoming obstacles, and making quality connections.

Born in Dallas, Texas, then moving to Los Angeles, California, and finally arriving in Salt Lake City, Utah, Marc has seen and experienced numerous walks of life, different viewpoints of the world, and different struggles and causes. This diverse core of experience is what pushes Marc to make the best of any situation and ensure those around him are leading the best life that they can. He maintains a constant desire for knowledge and personal growth.

At an early age Marc always was told and noticed his natural leadership skills, especially with children. He spent a lot of time entertaining the younger groups in summer camp, siblings of friends, and bonded closely with his fiancé's brother with down syndrome. These things made a future career involving close work with children inevitable. Then, to find out there was an employment opportunity not only working with kids but helping them grow and heal in critical areas of their lives sent him over the moon. Marc knows he is in the right field and always brings his positivity and excitement to work with him.
