About Me:

I am a Certified Social Worker (CSW) with extensive training in trauma-informed care as well as domestic violence and sexual assault/abuse. My approach to therapy is holistic, integrating various modalities such as mind-body bridging, somatic healing, mindfulness, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), motivational interviewing, and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). I believe in addressing the whole person, considering how gender, race, sexuality, religion, socioeconomic status, and systems of power and oppression affect an individual's mental health and well-being. If there is a therapy modality or skill you think would be helpful for you, but is not on this list, let me know--I love research and learning new approaches that work for you specifically! I am currently learning more about Internal Family Systems (IFS) and find it so fascinating and beneficial.

I want to co-create your treatment and healing plan alongside you and feel the big, scary emotions alongside you. You are the expert in your life and your hurt, pain, fears, quirks--the things that make you, YOU are safe with me. With me you can take off the societal masks, breathe and regroup.

My focus is less on diagnosing and pathologizing symptoms and more on radical acceptance of your experiences and the behaviors and traits you have learned and integrated in order to feel safe and in control. I am passionate about focusing on guiding you on developing self trust, authenticity and viewing you, your life, and experiences with compassion. You are not crazy, you are a human being who has experienced crazy-making things. I believe every symptom and behavior serves a purpose and is a tool to help you learn about yourself, others, and the world--what works for you and what does not work.

Reach out, tell me about yourself and let's see if we would make a good team!
